Do you think they really needed to make a Saw Three? Didn't the last one stink enough? Oh and The grude Two? Also what's with all the lame remakes?? The hills have eyes? The Shaggy Dog, I could go on and on!

they are all too stoned to think and scared as well. We won't see any real movies come out for another 4 or 5 years because of the money involved and the flop rate of movies anymore

It's what happens when movies are so expensive to make, that the makers get VERY cautious. The money people do not want to take risks with new, possibly unpopular ideas, so they figure it is safer to invest their millions in movies people are likely to check out because they liked the first one.

Admit it, when you like a movie, you check out the sequel, don't you? And that's the money-maker! They win back their investment, with a maybe a little profit, even if everyvody hates the movie.

So it's not really laziness, it's good business.

i dont get that either. Usually when i c a sequel i think that the plot is lazy and they hav 2 change a lot of stuff from the first movie so they can possibly make more money

Funny you should ask. I just read a column about that in the Toronto Star. Lame sequels are nothing new. Read and see why.

And rehashing old 80s cop shows like Miami Vice - they are getting desperate. Why can't they make up some original plotlines?!
