If you belong to a species that is naturally sadistic, manipulative, self-centred and enjoys torturing other living creatures, I can understand that it's in your genes. Not your fault.

But how did Dogbert lose his natural doggie good values?

Did something happen during his puppyhood, and if so, what?

Dogbert IS a pit bull, isn't he...? Granted, he's a lot more restrained and less obvious about it that other pit bulls, but hey....

I respect Dogbert, as he seems to be the only one of his species, save Baxter (the pit bull from the foreign film who discovered he had a taste for murder), to transcend the imposed docility his supposed "masters" had planned for him and instead turned the tables on those pea-brained drones, playing them like a cat might play with a wounded mouse.

If I were Dogbert, I would set up a pro-suicide hot-line, if only to see how many would take the bait. It would appeal to his sensibilities, I believe.

What I can't believe is Winter_Decay used the Evil Monkey origin as Dogberts motivation here. Not only is that unoriginal, it's sad. You couldn't even think of a similar character in the same species. Stop watching Family Guy; it's doing you no good whatsoever if you can't even rip it off properly.

Some dogs can be just as evil and malicious (especially the small ones with poor self-esteem) and most cats are more lazy than sadistic. Also, Dogbert is more self-centered than he is evil.

I think Dogbert turned evil after coming home early to tell his wife he had gotten a promotion only to find her in bed with another dog.

Some dogs are born with a complex or were hit on the head when they were puppies.
