America send the state of Israel more than 300 million dollars a year, an amount that exceeds the amount of government money that is sent to some States in America. Furthermore, when ever the media talks about Israel they refer to it was "the state of Israel" and not the country of Israel, why is this? I think the star of david should be stitched to the American flag, along with the 50 other stars.

Israel builds walls around the palistinian settlements, they buldoze houses, prisons, governemt buildings in Palistine, they impose curfews for palistinians, they control all building aspects and architectural aspects of Palintinian setlements, they tell Palistinians where they can go and dictate travel routs for palistinians, they kill, torture and imprison Palistinians who oppose them, Israel dictates what goes in and out of Palistine and they even close down places of worship for Palistinian people. Doesn't this sound like a totalitarianism state or rule?

What do you think?

I think that Israel is surrounded by countries and people who want them dead. Could you imagine living in a country where you never know where the next attack is going to be? I can't. As for the 51st state there are many countries in that running. There is Canada which the US has tried to get but were repelled, the UK which is the USAs ally, and Israel. I would have to say it is the 53rd state and if you count Puerto Rico it is the 54th.
51. Puerto Rico
52. UK
53. Canada
54. Israel

it quite is an impressive question. there's an excellent Arab minority in Israel itself, and those human beings have had to go through discrimination. Now there's a push to stress human beings to take "loyalty" oath's to a Jewish state as a manner to hold citizenship. Already there grew to become right into a bill exceeded which might make the non-Jewish spouses of Israeli Arabs take such an oath. The Arab inhabitants even interior Israel is growing to be quicker than the Jewish inhabitants, and there is now not an excellent inflow of Jews from eastern Europe. This terrifies people who desire Israel to stay a "Jewish state," and as you properly are anticipating, places the status of non-Jewish Israelis in jeopardy. If this hadn't been a hassle, all the territories conquered in the time of the six day warfare might some time past have been included into Israel. extremely there's a slower land grab with settlements and bulldozing properties of the indigenous Arabs.

It is undisputable that Israel has repeatedly engaged in actions that would be unthinkable for any other democracy. In the eyes of many people around the world, their actions actually resemble the actions of a modern democracy much less than they do the actions of a state with some neocolonial leanings.

As for your question about when Israel is called a "state", a state is another name for a nation and is short for "nation-state".

As for Israel being the fifty-first state, most Americans grossly underestimate the effects that radical Jewish Zionism and Christian fundamentalist Doomsday-baiting have had on America's foreign policy in terms of nearly unmitigated support for Israel.

At least Israel has the balls to do what America seems incapable of doing, that is killing terrorists. There will be no peace in the Middle East (or the world, for that matter) until each and every terrorist is exterminated.

Stop being politically correct and stop believing that this culture is a victim of ours. Radical Islamism today is nothing but a new form of Nazism.

I went to Israel a few years ago and didn't like alot of things I saw. But I can sympathizes with both sides. Totalitarianism yes in some aspects, the protection that they were seeking for themselves by doing this has become real ugly, and some ppl are exploiting the situation.
