To stop computer ediction
(1)first thing to do is take some extra time to do other things. Like have food slowly, take bath for some extra time like 5 -10 min more.
(2)Pay more attention to ur other interests. Like painting, or listening to music, swiming, reading etc.
(3)Take a walk for 1/2 hr everyday.
(4) Spend more time with family or friends. You can talk to them.
You have to do it day by day. Start decreasing ur time 1/2 hr everyday. And make a sincere effort. It will really help.

I will be watching for a good answer because I have the same problem. And oh yeah I run back and forth between the computer and the video games on my TV. Double addiction. I figure it is better than being addicted to drugs!

Well...best attempt is to just get a new hobby.
Problem is...you can't just get up and get a new hobby THAT easily.
Just find something you like and persue it...or think of something you'd like to try. Like drawing....or just go hang out with friends.
Another suggestion is to regulate yourself.
Just give you self a certain amount of time you can stay on the comp. each day. Soon it'll become a routine.
If all this doesn't work....there's really nothing wrong with being on a computer in the first place! haha
Maybe that's just your thing! There's nothing wrong with that.
It helps if you're doing productive things on the computer too :D

I don't know but I think maybe using it less and less like using it for a certain amount of time and then just unplug the computer and then do the same thing every day and once you are use to that try making you time less.... Not sure how that will help but I hope it does.

call a friend and go out more. get a new hobby. get involved a boyfriend or a girlfriend. go on a road trip, travel to remote areas without these technologies--live life, breath life. Life is too short to be spent in front of the computer.

Go do something useful! Like read or study! But if you don't wanna do that, get an axe and slam the computer, and when you really need to use a computer, go to the library!

You aren't addicted to the computer. You have just tuned in to the new reality. Sign off and you will be lost.

Try sitting on a chair instead of the computer, then maybe your addiction won't be so bad.

Set a time-out. Make yourself a schedule to do something else and stick to it. Practice self-control. Don't let a machine run your life. You have to take charge. Put a post-it note on your screen buy the clock with things to do at a certain time and stick to it.
You Can Do It!!!
