I was friends with this guy (through work) for anout 3 years. I liked him and made it obvious. I was told he liked me and he had made this clear to me also. Things started going places with us and then all of a sudden he backed off. I was upset but let this go and it went no further. then a few months later at a party he pulled me aside and told be that he regretted not taking the "relationship" further and asked me would I give things a go with him. I told him I didn't want to be made a fool of again and that i needed time. The next day I called him and asked him out, only for him to tell me he had a girlfriend!!!!!! What is the story with that????

He is a jerk. Why can't all guys think like me? Just because us males are (averagely) sronger than females, they think that they shouldn't treat them with respect. I am discusted with most men, even if I am one. I'm sorry that he did that to you.

Doesn't sound like he much for waiting around. The first time, maybe he had some reservation. Second time, maybe he was just trying to find a girlfriend and you were his first choice of several. I used to be kind of hard on somebody that did that until I was put into a similar situation. There was a girl that I really liked, but she wasn't sure. I was a little down about it. Then came along someone that was totally crazy about me and we had so much in common. It just didn't seem like a very smart thing to do waiting around for the first girl to make up her mind. Well, granted, this all happened in the course of about a month rather than a few days, but that's the best I can figure with this guy...

Seems I did read someone else's comment that he might have been trying to make you jealous. I guess that's possible, too. Especially considering the short period of time that went by.

He sounds like a player you're better off without someone who is going to start games and you're not even together . good luck

I think he just wants you to be running in behind him. When he saw that you weren't worried about him anymore, he regretted it and had to have you wanting him. Along with other girls. You don't need him

Well, he ain't happy with what he got, but he's trying to make a replacement with you. Shut him down until he's free, but if you like the bum, tell him AFTER he's free, you'll talk

no explanation needed, this guy's a tired player. he had an idea of how you felt for him, he definitely had an idea of what he felt for you! and since he was probably involved, he wanted someone to rebound on when he spoke. forget about it!
