Depends, were you born and raised there? If yes then you should be able to speak spanish. If not then it's kinda iffy, I'm half German and I am fluent in German. My sister is also half German and can't speak a word...
When you think about it, it's not like people from Latin America speak Latin right?

depends who you're talking to. If you're talking to Spanish people, then by all means feel free and comfortable with your own language. But for all other nationality, English is still the universal language.

Well, Spaniards tend to speak Spanish.
You could speak Catalan, or Basque though..

If you live in the U.S., well, you can speak any language you want, but for communication purposes, the language of the majority (English) is best.

Not if you're from any of the regions that use another language (Basque, Catalan, Galician). But then again, it's always useful to know as many languages as you can.
