This is exactly what happened. The stories of Gods and angels are really of the interaction between people and ancient interstellar travellers.

I doubt it greatly for the following reasons.
First: As a species, we have some 98% of the same same genetic make up as chimpanzees and bonobos, which in turn are genetically similar to gorillas, which in turn are similar to other apes. Thus it is clear we share all the genetic ancestry of other earth bound creatures.
Second: There is a clear fossil record showing how humans have evolved over time, we went from a tall chimp looking animal to the creatures we are today. There is no major discontinuity in the fossil record.
Third: The only thing that makes humans special as an ape species is our large brain to mass ratio. Other species of other classes of animals have specific adaptations that make them successful in their environments, we just happen to be very aware of ours.
Fourth: Our physical make up does not contain "alien" elements, that is our genetics are made up of DNA, just like all life on earth.
While its good fun to speculate and a lot of sci fi stories can be spun, we are just as earth bound as any other creature we have encountered.

That's an interesting theory. Although I believe we are direct descendants from apes, it is possible that an outside force could have intervened in the development of the modern day human. Many scientist believe that the very first cells that sprung up as life was planted here on Earth by an outside source, such as a meteorite or intelligent life elsewhere. This theory continues to gain ground as scientist struggle to reproduce life from the primordial soup that once covered Earth.

I think Yes. But only certain people have been passed down the hybrid genes.
I think that is why the royal families interbreed so much. To keep the blood line going.
Some say the stories of mesoamerican god quetzalcoatl (which means plummed serpent) point to him being 'from the skies'.
Of course there are many theories.
But I have something really interesting to read. Its about alien/human hybrid kids.

Erich von Däniken wrote a bunch of books on that subject, such as Chariots of the Gods, In Search of Ancient Astronauts. Most of them have been translated into English. If you are interested in that subject, you should check out some of his books from your local library.
The old TV show, "In Search of....." hosted by Leonard Nimoy was based on one of his books.
