I know a plethora of guys who have cheated on their girlfriends, but get extremely upset and bent out of shape when their girl cheats on them.
Why do some men think its no big deal if they cheat, but its not okay if a woman was to cheat on them??

I'm not trying to male-bash. I just know of a lot of guys who cheat on a girl but have the nerve to get mad when the girl cheats on him.

I know what you mean. My older brother once cheated on his wife when he was in the Navy then bragged about it and his wife ended finding out and I think she was really hurt on several fronts.
Then he gets real jealous about her former boyfriends and stuff.
Hes just a selfish person which a lot of first borns are and they have a hard time with the way they are the older they get as what goes around comes around.
Some women are unfair...as well, I was once seeing someone
who I found out had other boyfriends other than me...and they weren't study buddies either. She wanted me back two years later but I wasn't interested!
I myself have not cheated on anyone. Maybe you should find someone who's got more going on than their needs. A lot of nice guys who would do a women right are so fed up with all social rules and would rather have a women approach them.

Because they are unfair. Some men cheat because they think it's ok if their GF doesn't find out. They are selfish, and do whatever they want. This is a generalization, but is usually true. Everyone likes to think that they are special, and when you have a relationship, it makes you feel that way. When people find you attractive, it feels good. If 1 is good, 2 is better right? Now, when that special someone loses interest (cheat), then that feels bad.

It's called the Double Standard.
Men can cheat, women aren't supposed to notice or complain.
Women can't cheat, and if they do, they are punished for it.
In the old days, the punishment for adultery was stoning, and (you guessed it) it was the woman who was stoned, the man never was.
This is just the usual men-keep-women-under-control garbage. If you meet a guy who is like that, just walk the other way, go find a good one instead. Not all guys are chauvinist idiots.

As being on the "cheated on" end, I have to say it's very typical in our society today. But I think it's both male and female's fault. Men are given women traipsing around in skimpy clothes, peeler bars, porn movies. They get it in their minds that more is better. Or the typical "grass is greener on the other side of the fence". Some men see women as their property - so if you mess with their property they don't want it anymore. But they can see if there is something better out there, in most cases, what they have is far better than they have. Sometimes once they realize that, it's too late.

Products of society, and possibly bad home lives. I myself have never cheated on a woman, but have been cheated on. Unfortunately, I think most people do it because they feel they can get away with it. Then when they get caught, it upsets them, because they have to face the fact that they are liars.

Many people are hypocrites. Not just men. Consider that show on one of the music channels where a dozen physically attractive women struggle for the attentions of the idiotic, physically repulsive and morally repugnant "Flava Flave" (the pudding with the big clock around his neck). Other than cupidity (which has nothing to do with "Cupid," sugar) there is no explanation for their behavior. They are hypocritical in that they speak of each other as "Ho's" (whores) in a pejorative fashion. Shoot, they are all whores, attempting to sell themselves to the little troll.
Yeah, there are hypocrites and idiots of both sexes - pointers and setters.

The problem exists with both men and women. Men are more likely to cheat but the percentage difference is not as big as your question implies.

I would say that those men do not really respect their girlfriends and perhaps do not even consider them to be persons; definitely they are being selfish and disrespectful.
My view is that it's not right to cheat whether you're male or female.

it's like this,,,, they think if a woman cheats ( SLUT ) if they cheat you are suppose to forgive his innocent act of being a complete jackass.. in other words ( Oh, I really didn't mean to do it, it really wasn't anything )... That's when the woman should pack that mans stuff and throw it out the window..
Just my opinion and I can't speak for all guys ( I know a few good ones )
