it could be a number of things causing it,,before you go and spend a lot more money on it,,why don't you take it and have it checked out,,if they find an exact cause you can bring it home and fix it your self,,but replacing things one at a time is going to get expensive,,and you may not get the right thing,,it would be better for you to at least get a mechanics opinion on it,,at least you get a good starting point on it,,i hope this help,s.

You stated that the "check engine light" comes on, have you "pulled" any codes from the ECM? Your vehicle will run on what is called "open loop" which is in computer default mode. As it warms up, it then goes into "closed loop mode" It is running based on signals sent to the ECM from various sensors.Rent a OBD reader and see what the codes are, or take it to a service shop to have a diagnostics check done.

part one was funny, part two is halarious. the check engine light coming on infrequently means its a soft code. do a tune up, remove the idle air control and clean it and its port. it would help if people would put the engine size when they ask specific engine questions. if it runs good in reverse than turn the seat around :) sorry couldnt resist

OK, again, TAKE IT TO A CHEVROLET DEALER AND HAVE THEM DIAGNOSE IT............... or do you like wasting money and throwing parts at it until you get it right???
