i have a friend who i only know from online chatting he recently came into money and offered to help me with my outstanding bills is it ok to accept a large amount of money like this we have been friends for about 9 months online

That would have to be one hell of a friendship, and you need to truly understand everything involved and associated with this generous gesture. (For instance: are there strings attached, if so what are they, is this a loan, what's the re-payment schedule, is somebody expecting something in return that they shouldn't be...etc.). You want to get these types of things worked out in thorough specifics, or pass on the whole thing altogether. But thank you for this question. Answering this for you, answered a personal question of a similar nature for me. Thanks for the insight.

hhmmm.... maybe, are they expecting anything in return? I would take it if I felt comfortable. How would you get it? Mail? Don't give him your bank account #, and its even scary to give an address? He must want something. Set up a PO BOX and then accept it. You never know, people out there are crazy!!
