NO! Today's generation is doing just fine. When I was in the Marine Corps in 1968, they said; " There was the Old Corps, the New Corps, and now, this Sh**"!, meaning we were nothing. Well, we proved them wrong, and so will this generation. They will rise to the occasion!!

Yes, and no, in my opinion.

I think that the older generations like to believe the "new" generation is worse than "ours", but the truth is, the younger generation is doing exactly what we did :)

The problem I do see though, is today's youth is getting more **** shoved in their face earlier than they should. Partly because some families have to have both parents work, and some families only have 1 parent (I think this is worse ratio wise than 20 plus years ago) at home, so a lot of kids are being held responsible for things the parents "should" be doing, or what parents used to do.

Technology, progress, and innovations change every generation, but the core "human" remains.

I don't think so. Today's youth are just doing things at a different pace then past generations. When I was younger the crowd that I ran with, myself included, all broke the laws as often as we could to try and be cool I guess. We also did lots and lots of drugs and drank like fish. My parents generation rebelled in a different way, they listened to Rock N' Roll!! Ha! Kids today listen to Rap and Hip Hop because it is something that the majority of their parents disapprove of. I work with young people in conflict with the law and I can tell you that today's substances are not that friendly and that there are a lot of what you would call E-tards out there. I hate to think of what will be available to the next generation to use/abuse and fight against their parents belief systems. Basically it's just generational and has been around since man was founded I imagine and will be here until the end of mankind.

They havent changed. Its called growing up. Just as us old timers did. The only difference is that everything is more liberal than it was in the last generation, or the generation before that.
But dont forget we made it that way for you, so use it to your advantage
