it wouldn't interfere with their freedom of speech, i think it would just make it less embolding for some to commit crimes if their face has to be seen

Yes! If you're too chickenshit to stand by your convictions, then how are we to know you're not just engaging in mental masturbation?

As someone who has been to a lot of protests I've got to say that crime is no more prevalent there then anywhere else. Personally I'd like to see the cops catching murderers and crack-dealers rather than wasting there time rounding up students and hippies. Violent crime is on the rise, and 99.9999999% of it is not happening at protests.

Not to mention what you are talking about is actually pretty Fascist. So, if they were to pass the law me and all of those WWII vets who fought to stop Fascism would have to go protest.

No, doesn't make sense. I have the right to walk around wearing what ever I want. Making a law like that would also violate free speech and privacy to varying degrees.

What if wearing a mask was a way to protest the illegal spying the bush administration did?

Besides, why would you want to help the government even more?

A government that can give you everything will take it all away.

oh, I see...now protesting has become a crime???? I believe you need to read the constitution...we have the right to protest anything we want to protest. IF the US Government believed in the Constitution as they are, by law, required to do, yet constantly ignore our own laws, people would not have to fear recognition in fear of retribution by the IRS, the police, or any other enforcement agency. Think twice before you make comments, think the process through, and perhaps you will find, as I have, that we are not living in a democracy...we are approching a dictatorship under the guise of Homeland Security under this Administration. Open your eyes and see things as they really are.

Some states have laws governing the use of masks. I agree with you. I think that there would be no Hizbollah is they were not allowed to cover their faces and carry AK47s in public.

But for a look at terrorists who shield themselves in a blue uniform, see the link below.

No, police in this country *Britain* often photograph protesters and arrest them later, against the rights of the individual. It should be made illegal, not advanced!

No. Let's just hope that all Nazis end up in some sort of sh*t hole with all other Nazis. As for us decent folks, we want *FREEDOM*.
