Since we're so close to the national conventions, I just wanted to say a few things about condi rice. Not so much for the supporters, of which there are many, I am one. More for the skeptics and doubters. We are at war today because something had to be done in retribution for the 911 terror attacks, I dont say that to defend what we're doing exactly, just to say that if nothing had been done the Democrats wouldve jumped on that. Miss Rice was not the person that declared war on Iraq or ordered the invasion, it was our president. She did not order the troops to be deployed in the way they were. That was the order of the Secretary of Defense (Donald Rumsfeld). Her job is to travel to countries and gather information for the purposes of informing the president about conflicts or potential conflicts around the world. She has gone above and beyond in trying to clean up the messes that have been made throughout the middle east and the international community.

and it is my feeling that she would be an excellent candidate for nomination for the presidency. Even if you disagree with that can you say that you can understand how someone would think that. Can you say that it makes sense that I would want that?

Condi is arguably one of the smartest women (if not people) in the world. Liberals can argue against that all they want, facts speak for themselves. She has overcome adversity as a women and an African American , has a PhD, and numerous honorary doctorates. She would make a very good president as she does not hide behind the party tag lines and her views are clear and to the point. She is familiar with world politics and worked for Reagan as a liaison to the U.S.S.R. She is articulate and can think quickly and concisely. However, if she were to run she would likely lose because she is a black woman. It is ridiculous, but likely.

I'm sorry but your Ms Rice flies in for photo ops then leaves.
She's no more serious about finding peace in the mideast than Bush is. This comment was made on CNN by a mideast expert last week.

Furthermore, like the rest of Bush's administration, she's totally incompetent. If Colin Powell had stayed in, perhaps we'd have a chance. But he couldn't carry out Bush's indifference to America and his lies for greed anymore.
Rice is nothing more than a "yes" person to Bush.

I agree with you, I think she an amazing women, but unfortunately i think that she is a little before the time in our society when it would welcome a female president. I dont think the masses are quite ready to do that.

I think she would do a great job though.
