When I was 28 I was thinking I was getting pretty “old”, now my son is 32 and all of a sudden 28 is just a kid! Being “almost” 30 is an adult, where you are just becoming on your own, and really feeling confident about your life, but not old!
If at 54 I dated a 28 year old woman, you would say I am WAY too old for her, so she wouldn't be old at all then would she?

Honey, 28 is a baby when you're 55...and I was just 28 yesterday..or so it seems. Appreciate every moment, you won't believe how fast the time goes! Mid life by the way means just that, assuming the average age remains around 80 in North America, then middle age is 40...however, we tend to call it middle age when we are in our 50's or so...mostly because no one wants to admit to being/getting old. What a world.

It was, until I turned 30, then 40, and now 50. Nowadays, 28 looks awfully young! Ya got a long ways to go before you're old. But, then again, "old" is just a state of mind, in my aged opinion. Depends on your reference point.

30 was considered old based on our own history. In the mid 19th century 40 was equal to our late seventies. So to answer your question you are still a spring chicken. Enjoy a long fun life. I just turned 50 and I can still do things that I enjoyed 20 tears ago. It's how you approach life that counts.

I'm 28 and have been asking the same thing. I don't want to appear old so I have been buying more fashionable clothes (not too trendy so I don't look stupid). The clothes I bought are cute and sophisticated at the same time so I can dress them up or down when I feel like it. I've been wearing cute updated make-up and even painted my toenails purple to appear more young and just to have a little fun. I have a 18-mo-old daughter and want to look good for her and my husband too. I'm now worrying about getting wrinkles and want a tan but don't want sun damage. I'm right there with you! Good luck!

Iam 23 and I think there is a difference, maybe you feel old mentally but really arent physically, it happens all the time. Iam 23 I feel 33 because I have been through so much and it does take its toll sometimes. Trust me your not old your just hitting your prime. Its actually the age group of women I prefer. Your not old.

no way, I don't even consider 60 to be old and I'm 21. It all depends on how you feel. If you keep telling yourself that "I'm getting too old for this" then your screwed. But my grandfather is about 65 and he is more active than my husband and I pust together. I'm convinced he will out live most of my family. lol. You are far from old. Think young and play young.

Nope, it is just the passage of time and the clarity that comes with it. I felt the same. How could I be this old? I don't feel old.
But I realize now, at 34, that this is the best time of my life. My 20's were so freaking crazy. I feel so much more comfortable with myself.

LOL 28 isn't old. Old is a total state of mind. But I guess in age terms 50 could be considered old.
