1) i have just downloaded the sis 900 l.a.n driver for my motherboard and what i need to know is it safe to install this driver ,as i have my ethernet cable in the motherboards ethernet socket and the internet is working ok,but i wondered if i install the driver i may get a better connection.....should i install it

2)i have also downloaded the sis7018 audio driver ,same question,can i install this,as if i can get the onboard audio working(using pci sounblaster at the moment),i can take the pci card out and have a free pci slot,ok to install?

I agree with the first answer if its working fine why change it the lan is working and changing the driver will not improve anything

as to the sound onboard sound is very poor quality keep using the sound blaster

I have used soundblaster for years there good quality

1) If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

2) You'll get much better performance from the Soundblaster. Onboard audio is usually notoriously poor quality.

Make sure you uninstall the Soundblaster and physically remove it from your system before you try to install the SiS driver.

yes in both cases you can go ahead and install. please make sure that you backup the previous drivers.
