I'm 13..and i think my eyebrows are kinda big..not really bad but the hairs are kinda long...I want to go get the waxed but im really nervous that it will hurt? so a few questions...will it hurt? wear can i get it done that won't mess it up in st.louis(ie. beauty first, hair salon?) and i want to get them done saturday or sunday night..but i have pictures for school on monday morning...how long will the redness last????? thanks!

Have you gotten your ears pierced? It hurts last than that. I would say it feels like you pinched yourself very hard. And the redness will only last for a couple of hours, half a day at most. You can buy products at the pharmacy that would probably help take the redness out. Waxing eyebrows isn't an art form, to my knowledge, and it's hard to mess up. If you're worried about that, make an appointment at a salon and be prepared to pay a little bit more. Alot of walk-in nail places also offer waxing; you could try there also.

Waxing is a lot better than plucking in my opinion, You get it over and done with without all the hassle and patience you need to pluck them. It's exactly like it sounds, plucking all the unwanted hairs at the same time. I'm not sure the best place, I get mine done at a nail place. Mine were only red for a few hours, but that depends on how sensitive you are.

Eyebrow waxing doesn't really hurt. i was really nervous my first time too. The redness shouldn't last very long, most places put cooling gel on after-wards. So for your pictures on Monday they should look fine. As for a place to go i couldn't tell you because i don't live near you. good luck.

If they're just a bit long I wouldn't get them waxed. Just get one of those little eyebrow razors, they have an attachement to trim the brows. This way youkeep your original brow shape & don't have to worry about the pain or the redness. You should also remember once you start waxing you're going to need to keep it up, & you're only 13, that's a long time to have to keep waxing.

do not wax them please..... just pluck your eyebrows.
