Well that region is for removal of wastes, and when a foreign object is placed within that region, you create chaos.

The anal canal wall has receptors to detect pressure so that if poop pressures on its walls, the normal response is gut movement so that you have a BM (bowel movement). By the way your poop is made of bacteria (65% - 75%) and the rest undigested foods!! So now you know!!!

It's just a normal physiological reaction. Whenever your rectum or anus is distended with something in it.. the body thinks its stools and the rectal muscles contract reflexively trying to expel it out!
It just takes getting used to...
