Near the top right hand corner of a window when I'm on the net, there is something called "links". Can someone tell me in the simplest terms possible, what the function of this button is? When I pushed this option to the left I saw various words like "spam" for example. What will happen if I click on this? Thanks

The Links toolbar gives you an easy way to access some of your Favorites. Look on the Favorites menu - see the folder called Links? Any Favorites you put in that folder will appear on the Links toolbar for easy, one-click access.

If you don't want to use the Links toolbar, click the View menu, then Toolbars and uncheck it in the list of toolbars.

"Links>>" on the menu is simply a handy toolbar for storing web sites you want to save for future/frequent use.

Example: When you are on a web site and you like the website enough to want go back to it in one click here's what you do.

Click on and hold down the mouse button on the icon for the web site. This icon is located just to the left of the website name in the "Address" bar. Now, while continuing to hold down the mouse button, drag the icon to the "Links>>" (the arrows part of it). when the a vertical bar appear you can let go of the mouse button. That deposits the web site into the "Links" toolbar.
Now when you click on the "Links>>" you will see the web site you just put there. Any time you want to return to that site just click on "Links>>", locate the site and click on it and it will load.

You can change the name of the web site to something shorter that you can recognize later. To change the name simply right click on the name and click Properties, click on the General tab and at the top you can change the name to anything you want.

Links toolbar is very handy and I use it everytime I am on the net. There are lots of ways to tweak the "Links" so it is more to your liking.
