Have you seen the Tyra Banks show where the scientist took makeup and put it under a microscope?
Unless you want to get someone else's bugs then I guess you can ask them but would they want to share and get your bugs?

Well, kinda. It is unsanitary to share makeup because of the oils on your skin. So if the foundation is touching your friend's skin and you are asking to use it - it would be unsanitary for her and you.
I don't think it is "rude" but I do think it's out of the ordinary for a woman to ask to use another woman's foundation. Usually women come prepared with their own makeup.

Sharing make-up is a bad idea since make-up carries bacteria's from dead skin cells. Using make-up over time is bad enough if it's yours... let alone if it belongs to someone else.
It's not only rude, but unsanitary.

depends if it was an emergency....like there was a cool guy about and your friend wanted to make herself feel prettier. if she makes a habit of it then it's rude.
