Is it because they are so intolerant of having fox news on their lineup? Do liberals hate debate and open discussion as well as substantiation for their silly claims?
Why is Air America continually going down the tubes and is financially troubled?
Time Warner is the largest media conglomerate. Who has influence in this organization? None other than Ted Turner. He founded many of the sub-companies within Time Warner, many of which were founded while he was married to his communist love, Hanoi Jane Fonda.
This is a more important question.
If you want to be completely "fair and balanced" (Had to throw Fox News in there), you need to find out what the bias is of journalists, who reveal the news. Of course, liberals such as yourself, Watson, won't touch this, knowing a poll was put out that found that self-proclaimed liberals far outweighed conservatives within the media. Heck, journalists don't come even close in representation of the American public.

Doesn't everyone get tired of liberals saying, "some studies", "these studies", yet they are unsubstantiated? Do liberals make studies up and say it is fact?

I think it's like this... Imagine a sliding scale where 1 = ultra conservative, and 10 = ultra liberal. I feel most news media is around the 8 mark, while Fox News is around the 4 mark. If you're looking at the scale from the 9 or 10 mark... everything looks conservative.

Researchers and analysts have discovered persuasive evidence against the latter claim. Content analyses of the news media have, at a minimum, shown the absence of any such systematic liberal/left tilt; some studies have found a remarkably predictable press usually reflecting the narrow range of views of those in positions of power, as well as a spectrum of expert opinion that tilts toward the right.
But even some progressives have been willing to cede to conservatives the first point: that journalists' views are to the left of the public. Professionals in general, they observe, often have "liberal" leanings on social issues and there is no reason to expect journalists to be any different. However, they have also argued convincingly that the norms of "objective journalism" and the powerful corporate interests which own and sponsor the news media ensure that news content never strays too far, for too long, from protecting the status quo. You don't understand the corporate ideology of General Motors by studying the personal beliefs of the assembly-line workers, the argument goes. Ideological orientation is introduced and enforced by those high in the organizational hierarchy who have the power to hire and fire, to reward and punish. Working journalists, despite their sometimes high visibility, usually do not call the shots in the nation's media corporations. (The documentary "Fear and Favor in the Newsroom" provides vivid illustrations of this situation.) Consequently, the private views of individual journalists often matter little.
Such an analysis of organizational dynamics is fundamental to understanding the news process. It, indeed, is a crucial argument that kicks the legs out from the conservative critique and gets at the more fundamental structural elements that set the news agenda. Still, this approach begs the question: are journalists really to the left of the public? This element of the conservative critique has not been adequately addressed; it's one reason why the "liberal media" charge gets repeated without serious scrutiny.
Because all the major news companies are own by Big Business Republicans like Disney and General Electric and Rupert Murdock. How can you be a liberal news station if the right wing owns it. LOOK IT UP!!!!!!!

Republicans have been whining for decades about the liberal media bias. They've accused Rupert Murdoch of using his media empire to foster left-wing extremist propaganda, even though he owns Fox News. It was perfectly okay for them to complain about media bias, but now that lefties complain that Fox News isn't as "fair and balanced" as they claim to be, they're stupid and delusional.
All media is biased, probably because the news is gathered, filtered, edited, and transmitted by human beings. No matter what the story, everybody has a different view. People just don't tend to notice when the bias is in their direction. A Republican watching Bill O'Reilly would think he makes perfect sense, whereas a Democrat watching the same newscast would say he's distorting the facts. Change the channel to Dan Rather, and the exact opposite happens.
As for "do liberals hate debate and open discussion," you might want to ask that of the talking heads on the cable news channels. They have a particular point of view they want to report as the news. So they call these straw-man experts onto their show to argue with them, then cut the experts off as soon as they start making a point. People like O'Reilly and Ann Coulter are there for the sole purpose of riling up the voter base and making them think that some terrible threat (often imaginary, like the War on Christmas) is ruining America. Never mind that 300 million people might not all share that one person's view of what America should be. Especially Ann Coulter's vision.
I'd like to see this poll that you refer to. It's so easy to bend the results of a poll to fit your angle; there was recently a study that stated that SUV's are more energy-efficient than hybrids, but a closer look at the methodology shows that the researchers clearly tilted the numbers to get the result they wanted [1].

Liberals are correct about this. In the 80s the right wing realized that if they could get rid of the FCC's "equal time" and "fairness" doctrines, then, by owning the media, they could control it and influence it. A couple of years later, Fox News and Rush Limbaugh hit the scene, broadcasting unabashedly right wing propaganda under the slogan of "fair and balanced" and labelling as "liberal" all the journalists trying, in their feeble way, to be objective. The mainstream media felt the sting of those accusations, and soon moved rightward in response. When Bush's approval ratings were above 50%, they were terrified of criticizing him at all, and when mudslingers told lies about John Kerry, they reported it as truth to avoid being called partisan by the right. Yes, it's true you can go on the internet or read to find the truth, but a lot of what is out there is outrageously biased as well, and realistically, moist Americans are too lazy to work for their truth, they'd rather just believe the short, simple, WRONG answers being offered by the right wing media. So the chances are there, but they are slim.

The reason some christian conservatives think the media is liberal is because conservatives are not used to hearing the facts. Christian conservatives like to be told things that they already believe and affirm their beliefs. This is the reason that the conservative Fox News channel came about.
The slogan "Fair and Balanced" is obviously a ploy to make it seem like you are getting the news straight. If Fox News were really "fair and balanced", they obviously wouldn't need to make "fair and balanced" their slogan.
Fox News is considered a conservative news channel by the AP, CNN, and other real news outlets.
I tend to think of Fox News as GOP News or FUX News, lol.
Liberals will always be looking for the truth, no matter what it is or if it contradicts the Bible, etc.

Since the hit of "Entertainment Based News" all news shows are becoming biased, and not necessarily to the sole right nor left. The problem is that most news services cover the top layer of crude (or news as we'll call it) and never digging any deeper into an issue they feel would make Americans change the channel, or be labeled as a liberal channel.
I see the major problem being any one who says different then the right-wing pundits are immediately labeled as evil liberals! Apparently we've forgotten that this is supposed to be a liberal nation that supposedly thinks "outside-the-box."
Most Americans never feel the need to really research anything anymore and are more and more of the fading middle class is at home watching a fictional episode of their favorite sitcoms or eating up solicited information of doom and dismay.
TV seems to be making us dumb, the Internet however may make you smarter and in turn save your soul.

Why do liberals would desire to disclaim the reality. FOX information has a Conservative bias and communicate radio is ruled by using Conservatives. that's a fact, no longer something i can do or say will substitute that. exterior of those mediums very almost all different varieties of media are ruled by using liberals. that's a undeniable fact which you or i won't substitute. Why is it something which you're feeling the would desire to dispute or deny. it style of feels as though liberals spend maximum of their time attempting to persuade the the remainder of the international that the flaws they have self belief in and the information linked with them are no longer genuine. i think it might enable you to reason in case you have been only truthful and suggested you ideals of course; not greater reinventing your self. As an further bonus you does not would desire to bear in mind what label you're employing each and on a daily basis; you does not would desire to study the speaking factors to bear in mind once you're a socialist, a liberal or a ingenious or despite comes next. Simplicity is dazzling from time to time.

all the news is bias when it is not news reported on from both sides .
I seem to remember early in the israeli lebanon conflict a reporter saying that this is it they are bombing women and childdren .DOES it matter which side it was on .BIAS comes in when people say they are just using pictures of dead women and children to get your support .
IF this is true , then ,if both sides are guilty of this and the news does not report fairly both sides then we have a bias report .
the news tends to support the side you are most friendly with .
LEBANON is not among our friends so the reporting tends to lean a little towards Israel .
I would just like to hear the news with out all the bias .
A simple report like ; TODAY lebanon fired 312 rockets into northern Israel killing 25 civilians injuring 12 and killing 5 soldiers. ISRAEL responded with an air assault killing 25 people most of which are believed to be hezbollah supporters .THATS what it sounds like every day .THEY should say ;ISRAEL launched a counter attack in which 10 hezbollah fighters were killed and 30 local people in the area also killed , with 10 injured and taken to local hospitals that have no water or lights cause the whole country is being destroyed .

You've got this liberal's vote. I believe Fox news is just fine. I don't watch it but they ahve a right to be there. They do report on news like any other news station. They're allowed to choose the news the report, aren't they? If you feel there's too much bias in one area then go make your own news network. THere's bias on both sides. Deal with it!

Keep in mind that the people in congress is the reason why america is going down the tubes. Its not a republican or democrat or liberal or conservative type of thing. ALL of them are causing the trouble. They conspire to divide the american public over silly issues so that people can fight each other out in public while the congressmen are secretly working together to promote each other's secret agenda.
