Hello, I decided to get my first tattoo, my only problem is: EVERYTHING! :)

I want something that is classic Americana with the style of WW2 pin up girls (also vargas style 40-60's are cool too)

There was an old t-shirt I saw about 10 years ago in san diego area that would be cool but I cant seem to find anything like it: the picture was "aim to please" and had this hot girl on a missle in a WW2 fashion.

Anyway, any ideas or help getting my tattoo would be great, again: something sexy (but not too extreame - (some nudity is ok)) and something classic / old school americana.

also, any NY tattoo places whould be helpfull too. I literally want the best of the best.

Lemme see if I understand this correctly. You would like to express your individuality by getting ink done copied from elsewhere.

Check you phone book - But word of mouth is best for choosing shop!

I've always brought in my own art to have tattooed!

I'd go with the Vargas girls - definitely classic!

Check library or book store - Just get a copy, bring to shop.
They'll trace it for you.

P.S. Some shops are ridiculously priced! Price doesn't make the tattoo, small shops are just as good! Check artist portfolio - Crisp lines, shaping etc.

p.s.s. make sure it's HIS work..

I think a WW2 type pin up girl laying on her back with her legs up, like they were against a wall, and she could be wearing dark green short shorts with a matching really tight 40's uniform shirt and the same green colored high heels. Red lipstick, wavy blonde hair, and on your right bicep.

But that's just what I think.

NYC Hardcore Tattoos...They're friends Of Murphy's Law, the most bad-@$$ punk rawk band's from NYC. They are brilliant. Old school tats like that look good in classic places like the arm or chest. I could draw something for you, but it would take a bit...but I design tatts and I'm learning to put them on, but I'm scared to trash someone's flesh before I'm good. Check out NYCHC they're amazing.

i don't know if you're referring to this picture, but it's a girl on a missile.

good on ya for getting a tattoo that expresses true art and originality. i've seen so many lame asses with wrong kanji or nonsense and it makes me giggle (i read and write Chinese and Japanese).

Ulala from Space Channel 5 might be cool too.

My advice is to come to California, go to Sick Dogs tattoo place in OC, sit down with an artist there and let them help create your tattoo. Good luck!

Just think ten years from now if you would really want a tattoo at all. If you would, then whatever appeals to you the most.
