Nice try, but all the suicide bombers attacking civilians in Israel for years, and the Scud missiles aimed at civilian targets about 15 years ago are all evidence of the real source of kid-killers in the middle east. And, it's not as if that's anything new, since Israel was assaulted on the day of its birth, and repeatedly since then, by its enemies' attempts to murder all Jews in the region.

pirashkee, it's fine to quote Human Rights Watch, but don't stop with the first reference that you find. Here are excerpts from another HRW article:

(New York, July 18, 2006) - Hezbollah's attacks in Israel on Sunday and Monday were at best indiscriminate attacks in civilian areas, at worst the deliberate targeting of civilians. Either way, they were serious violations of international humanitarian law and probable war crimes, Human Rights Watch said today.

"In my medical opinion, they [these rockets] are supposed to injure as many people as possible," said Dr. Eran Tal-Or, director of the Surgical Emergency Room at Haifa's Ramban Hospital. "If you wanted to bring down a building, you would make a weapon with a heavier blast. And you wouldn't bother with the balls inside that don't do much harm to buildings; just to people."

And you ignore the deaths of israeli children caused by terrorists? Civilian casualties are the unfortunate side affect of war. However, Hezbolah sets up their rocket laundhers in civilan areas, Isreal has every right to take them out. Isreal has very often given advanced warning before attacks, so the civilians could flee the area. If you are warned and do not evacuate it is your own fault if you die. Even more so the fault of the Lebanese people for allowing Hezbola to prove the attacks in the first place.

"The pattern of attacks shows the Israeli military’s disturbing disregard for the lives of Lebanese civilians. Our research shows that Israel’s claim that Hezbollah fighters are hiding among civilians does not explain, let alone justify, Israel’s indiscriminate warfare."

The world is disgusted by the daily bombardment of Lebanon. Will Israel pay Lebanon for the destruction of their infrastructure?. People from lal over the world took to the streets today to voice their disgust at Bush's approval of this bombardment and destruction of Lebanon and his unwilingness to stop it.

This is what the Mayor of London said. From a BBC website. You will never hear the truth on Fox or CNN. The BBC gives the bigger picture, the actual truth and view from a more global perspective. People all over Europe marched also Australia, Canda and the Far East. The world is truly disgusted.

Livingstone, Mayor of London, has sent the following message of support to the `ceasefire now' demonstration in London on Saturday 5 August.

"I want to welcome this demonstration to London. Your slogan for an immediate ceasefire has the support of the majority of the people of London, Britain and the entire world.

"Given its financial and military dependence on the United States, Israel could not continue its massacres of civilians and the destruction of the civilian infrastructure of Lebanon and Gaza for one more day if there was a united demand for a ceasefire from the international community.

"That is being blocked by the U.S., unfortunately supported by government policy in this country. We must fight to reverse this, including by a recall of parliament to allow MPs to discuss the issue.

"In order to get civilians out of the firing line immediately, there should be a simultaneous ceasing of Israeli air attacks on Lebanon and of rocket attacks into Israel.

"This week it was revealed that Israel's destruction of Lebanon was planned before the capture of the two Israeli soldiers. Indeed, it is well known that Israel illegally holds nearly ten thousand Palestinian captives and has been holding Lebanese prisoners for many, many years.

"If their concern is captured soldiers, let all prisoners held by all sides be released immediately.

"This conflict has seen the collapse of Israel’s entire strategy of imposing unilateral solutions on the Palestinians and its neighbours by building a `separation wall’. It is now clear that all sides can strike deep into one another’s territory and no wall will remove that threat.

"There will no unilateral solution. The only way to solve this conflict is for Israel to negotiate with the democratically elected Palestinian Authority and the governments of Israel’s neighbours to reach a comprehensive settlement based on the implementation of all United Nation resolutions – which must include the commitment by Israel to withdraw from all of the territories it has occupied since 1967 in contravention of UN resolutions."

The number of civilians killed by Israel in any front in all its wars is by far much more than the number of the resisting fighters.Israel's major weapon is terrorizing civilians out of their homes. That is how it was created in the first place.
