Doing it at home is not advised what so ever I done my own tongue ring and I got lucky with it, but thats not the point. You can risk alot doing any piercing yourself at home like everything you named so best thing to do is get a professional to do it trust me you will be glad you did.

dont worry about hitting veins in your nose they are not major so it will not bleed much. You need a thick sterile needle, you cannot use a sewing needle clean thoroughly the area inside and out with antiseptic, and the needle with alcohol, heat, and alcohol again, if you dont have access to an autoclave, preform the same to your starter jewlery, which has to be high quality. It is a cartilage piercing so no jewlery less than 18 gauge, and it will hurt, quickly pierce the skin and as you pull the needle through have the jewlery ready to immediately put in.
This all is a lot of work, and keeping it sterile is really difficult so get it professionally done.
Use high quality stainless steel or titanium nosebones as starter jewlery. Lucite, or mixed metals or gold will not be good starter jewlery

what ever you do dont pierce it at home
cause you dont know what you are doing
also you could get the placement wrong
it will get fc*ked up
also i have seen some girls come into the piercing parlor
where im doing my apprenticeship
and they did it at home and for some odd reason
skin grew over the stud
also you can get infections
and you could put the ring in the wrong way
and you wont be able to take the ring out alone
so the best bet is to go to the shop
and spend the money to get it done right
oo and also if you dont have the right needle
you can get a hole in yout cartilage and that will hurt
so if you dont want a septum piercing
get it done my the pros
in a clean sterile place

There are easier ways to get an interesting signature look than by self-mutilation.Why not get a really cool manicure with funky nail art? How about some spray-on hair color that washes out after a single shampoo? It will change your look, but unlike a tattoo or a piercing,it's reversible. The trouble with piercings and tattoos is that if you get tired of them,it's not that easy to get rid of.Oh,did I mention that scars can be difficult to get rid of,too?
You will not likely enjoy waking up every day to an infected ,disfigured nose right in the center of your face...Just thought I'd mention it.

First of all you need to get some ice and hold it on your nose for as long as you can until your nose becomes numb that way you want feel any pain. Then you need a safety pin make sure the pin is sterile before you use it . Take the pin and stick your nose gently if you feel the stick then apply more ice to the area and keep doing this until you can no longer feel the pain and as soon as you see the hole stick an earring in and apply more ice.

My friend did it at home with a safety pin, and basically used the same method as those who pierce their ears at home, but she was lucky because hers actually turned out ok, but she herself said she would not recommend doing it at home. There is a high risk of infection. It's gotta be worth the what? like $50 to have a professional do it.

Do you have a whole punch? That's the easiest way to get a nice hole, big enough for most nose rings.

do it with a safety pin after being soaked in rubbing alcohol.
it will honestly be the most excruciating pain you can possibly imagine, and you will be in pain for days

If you are worried about it, don't do it yourself. That is why people get paid to punch holes in other people
