I don't believe the theory, but I wish it were true. It would shake things up a bit! I'd be much more likely to consider Christianity as my chosen religion if Jesus had a wife and children.

The book is fiction, the research is questionable. I was quite disappointed with it over all.

Its just a story. The original theory was presented in a book called The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail, but im afraid its based on dubious information from unreliable sources.
I do find it funny that Dan Brown based his work of fiction on a "factual" book that itself drew from fictional/falsified papers.

As for the Da Vinci Code I thought that it was pretty poorly written.

It's entertaining but it's just a work of fiction. I doubt that Dan Brown has any real insight into the secrets of the Catholic Church. And if he did, he sure wouldn't be writing about them!

Have you read ANGELS AND DEMONS yet? I think I may have liked it better than THE DA VINCI CODE...

Happy reading!

I have. The author that wrote it even doesn't believe the theory, it was fabricated based on loose facts and historical novelties. It's not meant to be a revealing tell-all, it's obviously fiction. That's why its under fiction and the main characters are all made up, rather than a researched nonfiction novel.

I have. Something is true, something nay.

But, yes, I do believe most of the book because, as it's known, Dan Brown has "robbed" majority of information from some very competent historians.

hello:}
I think it was an interesting book as far as opening up the mind a bit and making us wonder of the different possiblities .
it had a good mystery plot to it ,is it true ???
who knows but it did bring up facts about jesus"s time ,how it would be very very odd for a man of his age not to have a family .
and while we are at it ,why is it we trust all the words in the bible it was also written by men to supposedly help us open our minds ,but in reality it was man made and subject therefore to impurities .
peggy :}

I hate massive government., and that i do no longer comprehend the place you get that; that's my information that the left-wing liberals are the main considerable team that love massive government, because they're the human beings pushing for socialism, and that i do no longer see companies as having any style of human features- they're purely self-preserving entities, that's why we've regulations and regs for them. i believe in conspiracy theories cuz i understand that each and every thing that occurs in the international is led to by using and reinforced by using religious ability--the two stable or undesirable religious powers, reckoning on who you're following and obeying (in spite of in case you already comprehend it or no longer). So, the human beings being led by using evil powers are being compelled to do issues that help convey a pair of inhabitants that's inattentive, unaware, unvigilant, ignorant, susceptible, too busy, and in any different case incapable of scuffling with the "powers that be" whilst they attempt to tension their real schedule on the inhabitants, specifically, that the human beings will serve and worship devil. on the different hand, the human beings who serve God are working to help avert this "taking on" of the international by using the satanists, and are attempting to tutor human beings and get them to awaken and comprehend how they have been stealthily "programmed" into accepting outrageous lies, realities and standards. I comprehend that countless the human beings attempting to combat against those conspiracies are no longer inevitably people who carry on with God, yet i believe that they understand that the different area is evil and is predicated in evil. those in the midsection are the hapless victims of those conspiracies. sure, there are various sides of this conspiracy, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that that's distilled down into an user-friendly conflict for the hearts and minds of the human beings between God and His enemy.

That's funny. The Bible is considered a fairy tale, while the fairytale that flies in the face of real history is believed as if it were the Bible! LOL!!!

I think the book is fictional, but I do wish we knew the extent of Mary of Magdalena's (and other women's) roles in early Christian evangelism.
