"Trailer Trash" is a derogatory slang term. Generally people who live in mobile homes or trailer parks tend to be - so the stereotype goes - uneducated, un-stylish, drunkards, etc. Of course not everyone who lives in a trailer has these qualities. It's kind of like saying all English people have bad teeth or all French people are rude... it's just not the case.

As far as calling Brittney TT, well, the gum-smacking, slutty clothes and dopey comments kinda plays into the whole TT stereotype. Having money doesn't mean you can't be TT.

Mobile homes, or trailers, tend to be grouped together in 'trailer parks'. As trailers are an inexpensive form of housing, trailer parks tend to draw low income people who, as a group don't appear to take care of the property at all.

A woman living in that squalor with little hope, little facilities for keeping clean, little incentive for carting off the junk around the home and a bad attitude that comes from that lifestyle is the ultimate trailer trash. Picture her unkempt, cigarette dangling from her lip, frying pan in hand shouting out the door at her three hellion kids who are playing in the mud puddle in the middle of the street.

And their offspring grow into the trailer trash lifestyle. Now picture her daughter, on a mission to get married off and away from the trailer: tight shorts, too much makeup, same bad attitude, trying to put on airs that she learned on television. True trailer trash.

The deeper meaning probably comes from a time ago when some people who lived in trailers had alot of junk ,not necessarily trash, around it. Through time with clear defining moments the term trailer trash came about.

Junk would rank from cars to whatever had sentimental value.....I think it is a southeast States term.

Generally, trailer trash means people who look kind of filthy and live intrailers (hence the name). I have no idea what it has to do with Britney though...maybesome people think she looks like trailer trash? lol Oh, have you seen a hill billy? it's almost like that, but not as bad.

Trailer trash refers to the people who typically live in trailer homes because they lack the intelligence and common sense.

Intelligence and common sense = able to keep steady/good paying job = able to afford more than a trailer to live in

Stereo-typically accompanied with body odor and a Southern accent

In reference to Brittney, it appears she has not exercised her good decision-making abilities (common sense) in her personal life (both marriages, parenting skills, etc.). She has been fortunate enough to be able to afford more than a trailer to live in because she has stereo-typical good looks (aka the Barbie-doll look that society is enamored with) and a reasonable singing voice, even though her record producers have made her sound better than she is.

Her intelligence is in question because in a recent interview, she cried that she wanted the tabloids to leave her alone, but there she is a few weeks later, posing NUDE on the cover of Vanity Fair. YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS!!! She has made enough money that if she wanted to disappear and live a happy American life, she could. But she insists on doing things that keep putting her in front of the American public. DO YOU WANT THE LIMELIGHT OR NOT??? She is not smart enough to figure out that if she wants quiet, she needs to go away. If she want the spotlight, you are going to have to deal with the good press and the bad.

I think that's what people are referring to by using the term "Trailer Trash"...or they could just be jealous wanna-be's themselves...which is a whole other issue.

ok, trailer trash means that this person looks like they are not finacially well off and lack any class or manners. They act like they dont have any education and do stupid things that any normal american would consider embarrising. Someone who dresses sloppy and is usually overweight, doesnt care about their appearance.
Brittany spears may not be trailer trash but she has brought herself down to her husbands level which is not very complimentary. I usually dont care about that kind of stuff but he needs to get a real job and stop living off his wifes career. He is a hollywood wannabe and is nothing but a low life. He needs to zipper his pants also!! If she was smart, she would ditch that punk.
