If the door is reversing off of the floor, then you need to make an adjustment to the "travel". You will find two white colored adjustment screws, generally on the left side of the overhead unit (as you face the garage doorway). Each of these screws will have either a picture of a door going up, or a picture of a door going down, and will have a curved arrow around the "screw hole". To decrease the "down travel", turn the screw against the direction of the arrow. Each full turn (360 degrees) equals about 2 inches of door travel. It is usually best to turn the screw 3 or 4 full turns. When you do, the door will likely stop short of the floor, but you can look at the gap, and turn the screw back the other way, knowing the "1 turn = 2 inches" rule.

The motor has a knob that you can turn either with your fingers or a screw driver, depending on which type you have, and it will allow you to adjust the sensitivity of the door. It's quite easy to adjust but don't fall off the ladder! Good Luck
