I am on my 4th child and i am 35 weeks pregnant. Lately, i have been having a lot of discomfort in my vagina. I know i am 3 cm dialated and they did a fetal fibernectin and it showed up positive. I can barely walk because it feels like i had a free for all and when i sleep it is worse. I called the ask a nurse and they didn't seem at all concerned. Has anyone had this with any of their pregnancies? Could the ask a nurse just be over looking something? My pelvic bone hurts too but i am guessing it is the baby sitting on their worng. She is head down right now. Anyone experience this discomfort before? If so, was everything o.k?

I just had my 4th baby, and I would say that it is your pelvic bone opening up. I had the same pain with my first baby. It was horrible. It hurt to walk. It hurt to sit. It felt like a stabbing pain in my but and in between my legs. Once you have had a couple of babies those ligaments and joints are streatched. Trust me I know. You have 5 more weeks . Just try to stay off your feet as much as possible. I hope that you can make it to 37 weeks, but if you are already 3cm then you may be delivering soon. I'm sure your baby will be fine. I pray that everything goes great.

This is very normal. I am pregnant with my 4th (16 weeks along) and expecting this to start with me soon. I had a lot of pain and discomfort with my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies. With my 3rd, it started around 20 weeks and it was so bad sometimes I couldn't walk either.

Everything is fine. The baby is just pressing on nerves and also the body produces relaxin which makes the pelvic area open up in preparation for childbirth. The relaxin made my pelvic bone ache all the time. Hang in there. Only a few more weeks and the pain will go away.

Best of luck!

Try doing some pelvic rocking to encourage baby into a more comfortable position for you.

Some of the discomfort could also be from your pelvic joints loosening up already.

Consider seeing a massage therapist or a chiropractor to make you more comfortable and put your body in balance.
