The "21g" story is a myth created by someone trying to "prove" the existence of the soul and perpetuated by people who have not thought through the logic of the argument. If we really "lost" 21 grams at the moment of death, (which we don't!), that would imply the soul has "mass", which would mean it is a material thing, not a 'spiritual' thing, ergo this might prove the soul is not a "supernatural" part of us at all!

Very old story, somebody tried to prove that he could tell when a person died by the weight, because the soul then left.

Nonsense, ofcourse, a soul is like computer software, it has no weight. What they measured, were the last air expelled, and moist and fluid leaving the body.

I think that is a stale chestnut that has been disproven. If we did lose any weight, it wouldn't be a soul. It doesn't exist. Even if it did, it's said to not be material, so it would have no weight.
