I was perscriped 25 mg of Zoloft 2 months ago for severe depression and I just found out I am 5 weeks pregnant. I am afraid to go off my medication ( and I wont w/o doctors say) but I am worried about fetal abmormalties. I have read a lot of information/articles online but what I am intrested in is finding out if anybody out there stayed on there zoloft while pregnant and if so where there any abnormalies or complications. Please any information good or bad will help me

I took Zoloft throughout my pregnancy. My doctor told me that since the medication was one of the newer ones there were no studies of grown children whose mothers took it while pregnant but there seemed to be no complications of newborns and children. I was told however that it was possible that the child be a little more fussy than normal. My son is now 6 months old and doing great. He is teething now so he is fussy but nothing irregular. Good Luck and I hope this helped.
