Well despite the fact that Atlantis never existed, Genghis Kahn did unintentionally help set up the interconected world we have today. The Pax Mongolica encouraged trade and contacts between the Eastern and Western worlds. This trade sparked the explorations by the Europeans which has lead to the world that we have today.

Kahn, for all that he is remembered as a tyrant, actually was a successful warlord seeking to unite the provinces and the peoples of the continent. There were many small tribes who were being preyed upon by the more war-like leaders of larger tribes. Kahn sought to unite all the tribes under one banner to bring about trade and peace. The more war-like leaders who would not pledge alliegence were made an example of. It was a violent time and place and it seemed that the only way to gain authority was to equal the violence of the time. Kahn had dreams and plans for peace, unity and new trade links that never came to fruition due to his untimely death when his favourite horse reared and fell on him. His legacy today is that more than 5% of all Chinese people can trace their geneology to Ghengis Kahn.

first of all he never really did do anything to the europeans, he invaded the russians and then eventually they they crushed his empire and took over it during the rule of his sons
he never really brought anything good such as invention and ect. to the europeans or the russians or other natiuons he attacked so why should we accept him for something he did not do

Genghis Khan didnt invent anything, he simply used captured technologies from his efeated host nations.
We fear him in Europe because his hoards woudl have devastated our world.
