A room with a toilet in it.
In most of eastern Europe, the toilet is a separate room from the bath and looks like a closet...a water closet.

I see that everyone agrees with you about what the letters w/c stands for so you don't need me to remind you ONE MORE TIME.
I never thought about it. I will say that I think it is a room with a toilet in it. I see that some say that is what it is called in Europe and England but I think in the olden days of the US it has been called a water closet. I think it was in an old episode of Little House on the Prairie when they got one at the Mercantile. I think Mrs. Olsen was tickled pink that they had something that no one else in town had.

I've always heard that it means Water Closet(which I always knew to mean bathroom, or toilette). So yeah, that's what W/C means.
