It is a standard practice of phlebotomy. ALL instruments used in the human body are sterlized before hand. Plus a manufacturer of needles has no way of knowing if their needle is intended for your arm or that of a serial killer about to be executed. So they ALL get sterlized at the manufacturer.

in case the person administering the injection pokes himself with the needle accidentally...who cares about the bad guy

that makes lots of sense the person gon die any way what does it matter....but maybe its juss procedure for the people who have to care for the body afterwards

because if they dont then its not a "humane"(i cant think of the right word) way to kill someone who shot their whole family with a shotgun.
