I had sex on July 29, 2006 and started my peroid July 30 could i still be pregnant??

Anytime you have sex there is a risk. Even on birth control there is a risk, a much smaller risk. Human error is the most common cause in birth control failure. Nothing is 100% and if you have to ask if there is a chance there is. If you are going to have sex it is up to you to get on something and always use condoms. Although this is not 100% protection it makes it a lot less likely. To have sex when you are not trying to be safe (the pull out method is equal to not using anything) then you can get pregnant anytime.
By the way yes you can have your period and still be pregnant, and anyone who says otherwise is wrong. I had my period for the first two months of my first pregnancy. I was surprised to find out I was pregnant and didn't find out until I was three months.

You can get pregnant if you have unprotected sex at any time, even if you're on your period, but if you got your period, that means that you are not pregnant.

No, your period expells the lining of the uterus and egg. Nothing there to make a baby with.
