The reaction of the Mets fans last night at Chase Utley's last at bat and last chance to extend his hitting streak? I can understand chanting "No more streak." but the reaction after he struck out? Laughing, mocking and cheering that he failed? I thought the fans in Philadelphia were classless!! At least the Philly fans give standing ovations to visiting teams members for the records of achievement. What do you all think?

i agree with you! chase utley is a great player and a class act! some fans in every park show very little class. this is a game where you should appreciate good players no matter who your favorite team is. you can have a favorite team and still give great player their due! everybody has great years and down years such as A-ROD, EDMONDS, VARITEK, RAMIREZ (CUBS), PIERRE, AND TEXIRIA TO NAME A FEW. WHAT IS FUNNY THE FANS ONLY REMEMBER NOW! WONDER WHAT THE MET FANS WOULD DO IF UTLEY WAS TRADED TO THE METS? they probably would deny ever booing him!! chase utley deserves better than that. shame on the mets fans!!!!!!!!!
TO MANY PEOPLE TAKE THE GAME WAY OVERBOARD WITH EMOTION. they just should sit back and enjoy the greatest game ever played and appreciate every player that plays it!

I'm a Mets fan, I wasnt at the game last night, but I watched it on TV and it was a beautiful thing to stop Chase Utley. Believe me, if David Wright had a 35 game hitting streak and the Mets were in Philly, the idiot Phillies fans would have done the same thing.

Classless? It isn’t like the guy came back after having cancer or anything. I have seen much worse than that. Why would the Mets fans want that streak to continue? He plays for the Phillies, not the Mets. It's their jobs to root against opposing players and teams. They were competitive; not classless.

When the Mets are leading a division, and it is only a division, they are arrogant as hell. If it was any other year, they would react differently. What is funny, and really funny, is how much they hope this is their year, What a joke! They will be killed when the time counts. And next year? And after/ LOL. They are screwed.

What is sweet, not said in their accent, is that the younger Phillies will always remember their insult. Let's Go Phillies!

There making such a big deal about this crap. Rollins made it to 38 (?) and I knew he wouldnt make it. Manny Ramirez has a 20 gm. hit streak, maybe he can do it.

You are correct, but what do you expect from New York fans? They are the most unruly, rudest, most ignorant of any others in baseball.

Chow!!
