As a college professor, I can tell you that I know many students who are extremely happy that we provide free tutoring services. Whether you take them up on it is your decision, but I know many students who have done so and are glad they did.
The KEY is that when you need help, you turn to any and all available resources. Your professor is one, classmates are another, and the tutoring center is a third.
If you want to be successful and pass the class, then anything that helps you out is worth it. And if it's free, then that's even better!

I wouldn't say that college students shouldn't need tutoring. I went to a school that had an excellent acedemic studies area to provided help in all kinds of fields. I think it is a great idea!

College students shouldn't need tutoring. They should be intellectually and emotionally matured enough to study on their own or within groups. People who need free tutoring don't deserve to be in college level education.
