The way they're so dark and mysterious and they shag you while biting into you

You have Hollywood and Bela Lugosi to thank for that. Before that, the belief was that vampires were gross, dead, decaying and just plain ugly. Look at the 1922 silent film "Nosferatu". That vampire looked and acted as all the old legends claimed a vampire would act. It wasn't until Bela Lugosi dressed up so nicely for the part that all of us started regarding them as potentially attractive.

Leave it to Hollywood to goof something up like that :p

You've been getting your mythology from Buffy, it seems. Consider what Vampires are: undead, unclean, restless spirits risen from the grave, so very perverted and evil that the very sight of a holy symbol can cause them pain and the healing sun can burn them. These are not sexy aspects, unless the fetid breath of corruption that comes from carrion-eaters is "sexy" to you. Vampires are dead things. Shagging with vampires is necrophilia, kiddo. Ick.

Certainly, but only today's modern vampire. I believe it was Bram Stoker who romanticized the vampire, made them dark, mysterious, suave and sexually alluring. Originally the European vampire was nothing more than evil spirits who reanimated dead corpses to feed on the living (usually family members). Instead of Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise in "Interview With a Vampire" think of zombies from "Night of the Living Dead."

there's nothing sexy about a pale freak biting your neck. ew. i personally like a man with some colour to his face .....and oh, and not undead. you really need to talk to a counselor, because that's just messed up. why would you want to make love to something that's risen from the dead? what are you, a necrophiliac?

I find their cold, dark, detached manners, and pale complexion to be higly sexy. Dangerously so.

Of course there is also the neck biting factor.

Blah, what's sexy about kissing a pale long toothed undead guy? Is that what you look for in a guy or something?
