My house now has one main room downstairs, and three coming off of it, plus one upstairs. I payed off the 838,000(or sumthin like that) mortgage and tom nook says he can't build anymore rooms, is this true? What would be the point of paying off the final mortgage if the house won't get bigger?

I was wondering the same thing, actually. I just assumed that Nook would come by and break my legs in the night if I didn't.
Actually, there is one more room to add, in the back. At that point, your house will actually look huge from outside, too. The final mortgage is almost $1 million bells.

I have no idea if it gets bigger or not mine only has the main room up stairs and then the bed room where u sleep so i really can't to u the correct answer
