How can i erase the music on itunes with out erasing the music on my ipod?

i burn 3 cds and then updated my ipod and then i erase the 3 cds of my computer and the ipod to so what can i do to keep the music on my ipod but not in my computer?

dont plug your ipod in to your computer and delete all your songs
dont plug it in again or you''ll lose your songs
