The War Between The States is grammatically incorrect, since you want to get techincal. The War Among The States
would be the correct terminology. Hey,come one, this is just a little quiz on Yahoo, not Jeopardy!

There was no "American Civil War". When Lincoln marched troops on Americans, he recognized that they were no longer citizens of the USA. The war is more aptly termed, The War of Northern Agression, or, popularly, The War Between the States.
