First off, don't give him a time limit or ultimatum, you're his wife not his mommy. It will only make him bitter and angry. Try playing with him, learn the game. The time he will have to spend showing you how to play can be just as good. Plus all his friends will think you're the cool wife who can beat them at their own game. Gamer men love gamer girls who can beat them. (even if they act like they're pissed about it)
You could also try to bypass him before he starts to play, ask him if he'd like to do something with you. Try not to whine, it's unattractive and a huge turn off for guys. Believe me I've learned this the hard way. Let him have his time, but tell him you expect yours too. When ever he's playing maybe watch him for a bit. When he gains points, kiss him on the cheek, tell him good job and then leave. I'm sure you have something that you enjoy doing that you wish he'd take an interest in. It takes two. You need to open the bridge, even though he does take his gaming to the extreme with his time.
Good luck, and remember you love him!

Didn't you realize this before you two got married? How did you deal with it then?
Let him know you feel he's neglecting you. Tell him how it makes you feel when he spends so much time doing this. If he is sensitive, he'll understand. Negotiate with him. Ask if he'd be willing to stay on for maybe 1 hr. a day max, or whatever you are comfortable with.
Find a hobby you are passionate about and spend some time doing that. That will give you something to do while you're trying to rectify the situation.
I have a friend with your problem and unfortunately they are getting a divorce not only due to that but other issues also.
Good luck! If he loves you, then he should be willing to compromise and give up some time so you two can enjoy activities together.

You're too late to back out of that marriage now. You knew him to be a PC game fanatic before you married him, right? You made your bed, etc.
Grin and bear it. I'm not siding with him, but you're equally responsible along with him for discussing sticky matters like his game addiction BEFORE and not AFTER the marriage.
Live and learn.

well,i know how you must be feeling but trust me the only reason why men do this is to distress from all the issues in life,in office and home!!
it'll be really good if you don't stop him rather get involved, start playing with him and trust me that's the best way to spend time with your husband and for getting even more close to him by getting involved in what he likes, appreciate him for the way he is winning and why did he lose that particular game and see how its makes a difference? you'll start enjoying it and he too will and then slowly you can ask him to wind up with you and then u can go to bed together...
see there's a way of getting things your way with husbands, they don't look but are very sensitive and soft, all they need is pampering and pampering and pampering, lots of it along with appreciation....done become a nagging wife who doesn't even allow him to play a game.........understand him,u'll be happier!!

Durn, you didn't know that before you married him?. O.K. Here's what you do. You unplug his computer. Then you hide all of the power cords. Some come off, some don't. Take the ones that come off, and hide them. When he asks, what happened to them, tell him that his mom came over to visit today. She did something to the computer. You don't know what she did. Then he won't be able to play his games any more, and he'll have to play with you instead.

I agree with everyone else saying you knew this before you were married to him.
I've known a lot of people in this situation (sometimes it's PC games, sometimes it is something else...)...and honestly...nothing ever really changes the guy. He'll just have to grow out of it, but even then he'll just find something new to distract himself.
Sorry. :-)
