Unless you have an employment contract or a union or if you can prove you were fired due to your age, race, sexual orientation, gender, or religion; there is nothing you can do.

An employer doesn't need a solid reason. However, you should have been told that your job was in jeopardy and given the opportunity to improve. This is the only thing that amight allow you to collect unemployment.
It's usually best to just let go and move on.

Leave the job off his resume. Unless you're being hired by the government, you might have to list the position on a background check but not necessarily for a professional reference.
Good luck.

it depends on what state you live in. some states, like texas for example, are what is known as a
"right to work" state. basically that means an employer can hire/fire anyone they want for any reason other than for violating an eeoc ruling. (ie, race, religion, sex, etc)

Ask how you can avoid the same situation in your next place of employment. Listen to what your employer has to say, and improve yourself based on their comments.

Find another job. Employers do not have to explain themselves to ex-employees.

It depends on the state and any extraneous circumstances, but typically your response should be to find another job.
