When an employer fires a person without giving a solid reason what should he/she should do?

Unless you have an employment contract or a union or if you can prove you were fired due to your age, race, sexual orientation, gender, or religion; there is nothing you can do.

An employer doesn't need a solid reason. However, you should have been told that your job was in jeopardy and given the opportunity to improve. This is the only thing that amight allow you to collect unemployment.

It's usually best to just let go and move on.

it depends on what state you live in. some states, like texas for example, are what is known as a
"right to work" state. basically that means an employer can hire/fire anyone they want for any reason other than for violating an eeoc ruling. (ie, race, religion, sex, etc)
