Is there a separate term to identify the action of attempting to draw a foul in basketball; you know, when a player very dramatically acts as if he's been knocked down, although he hasn't really?

it's called being Manu Ginobolli.

Flopping around like a damn fish out of water. He injured somebodys leg by flopping around.

if you are on defense, and you try to get knocked down by the guy with the ball, you stay still and let him hit you, fall down, and its called "taking a charge"
