Firstly, did you even set up an account? Did you have an existing acccount? If you had an existing account have you put the user name and correct password in? What is it telling you? Yahoo answerers arent prophets, seers, or mind readers. If they were, they wouldnt be here!

check your connection preferences. If you're using DSL/Cable set it to "no firewall". If you're using LAN then choose use proxies. I hope this would help.

HI..TRY THIS GO TO MENU >MESSENGER > PREFERENCES >CONNECTION > AND TRY ONE OF THOSE > NO PROXIES OR
FIREWALL WITHNO PROXIES >USE PROXIES >NO NETWORK DETECTION.
