u hv two eqs:
first is 3x+4y=9 second eq. 84x+8y=9
eq1*2
6x+8y=18(say eq 3)
subtract eq3 from eq 2
78x=-9
=>x=(-9/78)
put the value in eq 1 to get the value of y as
3*(-9/78)+4*y=9

Get like terms on each side in y=mx+b formation

-84x+3x-9=4y
4y= -81x-9
y= -81x/4 - 9/4
y= -20¼x - 2¼

3x + 4 y = 9 --- (i)
84x + 8y = 9 --- (ii)

Multiply (i) by 2 and subtract from (ii)
You get,
-78x = 9 and hence x = -9/78
Now substitute the value of x in either (i) and (ii) and get the value of y.

x = -3/26
y = 243/104

This is a perfect equation. Put these values in it and check for yourself.

That is an improper equation but i shall have a crack at it anyway.

I have no idea of how you got nine but that is impossible but..

x=28
y=2

I hope that helps
