It will cost more to fix it these days than it will to buy a new printer with better quality print and more features. If you particularly like Lexmark, stay with them but before you decide, set yourself a price bracket and look at other printers in that bracket. If you can, compare running costs (costs of cartridges and number of pages of full colour they will print). You may find that you can have a better printer which will cost less to run.
Give the old printer to a local charity who can afford to spend the time refurbishing it. There are many day centres, special needs units and that sort of thing who would probably be glad of it.

well it depends, u could change some parts like the feeder rubber, which can be found right under the feeding slide, or the other thing which I have tried and works just fine- put as many sheets of paper as possible- like 50 in the tray and leave it to print- it will feed just one by one, guaranteed:)
at least works for me, if it still doesnt seem to be working, trycleaning up those rolls I mentioned before-the ones that get the sheet ..hope it helps
and if the cartridge is dead, try those sale spots, I think they had some parts for that feeder too.

Hi
The rubber wheels that feeds the paper are probably due for a cleaning.
Put some rubbing alcohol on a Q-tips, and clean the wheels. You might have to clean several times, or until you're not getting any "black gunk" on the Q-tips. When you are done, let the wheels dry before you print. The rubbing alcohol evaporates fast, so this will only take a minute.
Good luck!

yes it's on it's deathbed. don't even bother trying to fix it, just go to walmart or kmart or something like that and get a new one, preferably the all in one variety.
