Is it just called the outer edge of tub or is there a specific name? It's the top portion that goes from one end of the wall to the other. That part has chipped porcelain and I need to call around for ideas on how to fix it, but I'm not sure what to call that part when I speak to people.Thanks

It is the rim of the tub, but specifically it is the skirt side of the tub. Good Luck

If it is the front part it is usually called an apron. The link below is for an RV type bath tub, but it has a diagram naming parts.
