Okay when I was really little my mom had me watch JAWS. now I'd never seen anything like it so I was tramatized okay... and I grew up with this deathly fear of sharks. it go so bad that when I was swimming... (I'm a great swimmer never the less) started to hypervenalte in the water. (I almost drowned several times in a public pool) I realized there was a huge issue so I began looking for ways to conquer my fear. slowly I did research on sharks. I made sure the books I read had no pictures. then I moved up to a few pictures and stuff like that. And then I visited an acqariem with lots of sharks. (I still chills and my heart starts to beat fast) but I like I've got it under control. When I start to freak out I remind myself that they are awesome creatures ment to be respected but not played with and they can't get me if I'm not in the water.
It helps a lot

i have a serious issue with needles, taking shots and everything that comes with it. i was so panicked that i could faint if anybody mentioned taking a shot or something of the kind. i managed to half conquer my fear when i had to go to the dentist and my boyfriend threatened to leave me if i didn't. i fainted at the first shot, but then i was OK. i still don't enjoy taking shots, but i can at least stand them.
the next step is to have blood analyses. for the moment i am freaked out by the thought of someone putting a needle in my vein, but i hope I'll overcome this phobia too.

Public speaking, I had to get over so as to get my promotion at work, now hosted two training seminars, standing in front of people staring at me whilst I ramble on about something projected onto the wall and you know what? It is great and I appear to be pretty good at it!

Now just need a way of conquering my fear of flying insects!

I have learned from recent experience, the only thing worth fearing is fear itself and fear isn't that scary by itself.

I am absolutely terrified of spiders. I can't handle it if one is in the room and just go into a complete panic. I can't even look at pictures of them! I am also terrified of moths and crickets!!

I am also very shy and am scared of being embarrased in public, although this is still quite bad, it is not as bad as it used to be.
