You can actually tear your cornea by wearing ripped contact lenses. It hurts like a SOB until it heals. I would recommend you throw them away FAST! Get a new pair and be more careful.

If the lens is worn out or torn, it must be replaced. Not only would the lens be painful, it would not serve its purpose. You would inflict pain on yourself and still wouldn't be able to see. You could also cause an infection.

With infections, antibiotic eye drops are used. Your eye doctor chooses an eye drop that is most effective for the particular infection. Eye drops may need to be used every hour. You might have to be seen every day with more serious infections.

With corneal infections, a culture of the infection may be taken to help determine the best antibiotic eye drop.

On rare occasions, surgical management of the infection may be necessary. Ultimately, if more conservative treatment is not successful, antibiotic injections into the eye or even a corneal transplant may be necessary.

So in a nutshell....throw it away.

Well lets see- you blink about 5 to 15 times a minute, and every time that lid goes up and down its gonna rub on the tear. How long do you think before it rubs the inside of your eyelid raw and it becomes infected?

you should be fine as long as you don't wear it for too long. like no more than 8 hours. your eye may get red if it is a big rip and it may become irritated and hurt, but if its a small rip and still wearable, you will be okay. just get new ones soon.

yes! It can scratch or damage your eye. Not to mention that it will not do what it is supposed to if it is damaged.

You need to stop wearing it and get new ones.
