I'm not sure where he hit it but Andres Galarraga hit a homerun off of Kevin Brown that landed about 20 ft from going completely out of the stadium. It landed on a green tarp area I believe in Florida. I believe it was a longer homerun that Canseco's or any that McGwire hit, a truly monster blast! But during my lifetime the 3 homeruns by Reggie Jackson vs the Dodgers in the 77 series was the most memorable.

Since you brought up Canseco, I would have to say the one that went off his head was a good homer.
But live I have 2. It used to be one of Mark McGuire's home runs when he broke the record. I was driving cross country and just happened to be in St. Louis....got a single game ticket.....watched him hit 12 out of 16 out of the park during BP and then hit #37 against the Royals. Unfortunately, that experience has been tarnished.
So now I go back to my childhood and I still remember the overcast Red Sox game. I remeber the sun shining through for the first time that day in the bottom of the ninth just as Dwight Evans (best defensive Right Fielder ever?) came to bat and spanked a game tieing home run. That was awesome, but the show wasn't over. Dewy comes up again in the bottom of the 11th and hits a walk off home run to end the game....great childhood memory....thanks for the question.

I have three. The first is Gibson's HR off of Eckersley in game 1 of the 1988 WS. And the second is Mark McGwire's 62nd on 9/8/98. I saw both of those on TV.
My favorite HR I saw live was in the minors. In 1997, during a Tx/La Lg game, my favorite player John O'Brien hit a walk off grand slam in the bottom of the ninth to send the Alexandria Aces to the playoffs. There was more adrenaline flowing through me that night than at any major league game I've been to.

I live in the Boston area and was at the game in Detroit where Roger Clemens struck out 20 batters for the second time. That is my favorite in person memory of a game.
But I was walking outside Fenway park with some relatives in 1988 and the A's were taking batting practice and we got a home run ball that must have fallen through the next

Mickey Mantles titanic shot at Yankee Stadium May 22, 1963. The ball was projected to have travels 636 feet. Mantle, batting left handed hit the ball so hard that the ball was still on it's upward flight when it hit the base of the light tower above the third deck in right field. It was the closest anyone has ever come to hitting a ball completely out of Yankee Stadium.

Reggie Jackson's towering homer in MLB 1971 all-star game.
Bill Mazeroski's (Pittsburg Pirates) series winning homer in old Forbes Field (1960 WS).
Joe Carter's (Toronto Blue Jays) series winning homer in game 6 (1993 WS).
Reggie Jackson's 3 hrs in game 6 to win 1977 WS for the Yankees to end a 15 yr drought.

Derek Jeter's homerun at 12:04 AM on November 1, 2001. Reggie was Mr. October, but Jeter is the only "Mr. November".
