I am going on a trip to Niagara falls, Canada. We are coming there from northeast pennsylvania. I would like to know if anyone knows the best time to leave in order to avoid a lot of heavy traffic. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would go at night or at the least the late evening before it get dark ....or you can start out real early like 4 or 5 am these are the best times to be on the road without heavy traffic.

I once drove to Niagara Falls from Rochester at about 1:00 AM. It was a very easy, traffic-free trip. When I arrived in Niagara Falls, I checked into a hotel and slept for a few hours, waking before sunrise. I have a great photo of the sun coming up over the falls. Well worth it!

i went there in the morning. It was no traffic. Enjoy your trip! I hope you like it. But if you go at night time they have lights in the falls. It is beautiful i seen it on the computer not in life. I heard about it from my friend who went there when she was 7.
